This week we are spotlighting Bryce Wetherbee who is a member of our Partners Growth team. Read on to get to know him and find out more:
Where do you currently live?
I live on the Northern Beaches in the heart of Manly. I'm just one street back from the beach and love getting in the surf whenever I can! It's just a short stroll down the road to some of the best local cafes to work from and in the other direction is North Head Nature Reserve where I spend time running to burn off some steam.
What does a typical day of work look like?
My days are spent connecting with and speaking to independent short-term rental operators throughout Australia and New Zealand, who could benefit from our partnership. This entails a series of phone calls, emails, zoom videos as well as face-to-face meetings, where possible.
What are some of Hometimes' values you connect with that drew you to the role?
I've always been passionate about the sharing economy and also love real estate (even though I'm yet to purchase into the market). Hometime sits at the epicentre of both, hence three years ago when I joined, I knew it would be a great fit!
How do you unwind?
I find great enjoyment in DIY and design. I recently built out a camper van, and have another one on the way (hence why I don't have a house yet). I, like most people, also like to put all my work tools down and relax on the beach, go for a surf and enjoy friends' company over a few drinks.
What is one thing people don't know about you that may surprise them?
I have dual citizenship in both the United States and Australia.
What podcast are you listening to/what book are you currently reading
I listen to anything travel, surf or mindfulness related.
What gets you excited about life?
I’m most excited about the prospect of dusting off the backpacking sack, jumping on a plane and getting a culture shock! I love travelling and I can't wait to get back at it in 2022.
